Kimber's La Petite Preschool Graduation

It was SUCH a cute performance and graduation, put on my La Petite's Staff.
Kimber was so excited to go to her graduation!  She had been working on her songs
for a long time and was anxious for us to see her and her classmates!

She asked for her hair to be curled out....she was so cute throughout the performance!
They sang some fun songs, First was, "Splish Splash" with their rubber duckies!

Then "Lolly Pop, Lolly Pop" with their lolly pops :)
And "Tootie Tah"
Dad switched shifts so he could come!  Cody Loves his daddy-o!
Kimber got very serious and we could NOT get her to smile after she had her cap and gown on :)

 HERE SHE IS!!
The kids made these posters for their parents.
It is priceless!
 Here is her diploma!!
They also got a shirt with all of their classmates hand prints.
Ava Miller and Kimber (Their Grandpa's even live next door to each other in Washington, UT...they were destined to be friends)
Here are her two awesome teachers!!  Ms. Lorena and Ms. Paulene!  We LOVED having them and they did such a great job with our little Kimber!!
Congratulations GRADUATE!  (She keeps asking when she can go to Kindergarten....it is going to be a long  summer :)

Holdyn's Zebra report/Spring Musical

Holdy-locks has been super busy and LOVING 1st grade at Alice King Charter School (Ranked in the top 5 schools in the state).  She had a pretty big project to do on Zebra's.  We went to the Zoo to get some pictures and information for her report.  She typed paragraphs for her poster and stood and gave a 10 minute report on Zebra's.  Kimber, Cody and I were able to go to her class to watch.  She did FANTASTIC!
AKCS also had it's Annual Spring Musical this week.  Here is Cody reading the program waiting for the show to begin.
Holdyn's class had the country of Africa.
She sang and danced to some fun African music.
Here is her school at the end of the performance.
They did a great job!

Kimber's first Krispy Kreme experience!

We met up with a BUNCH of Kimber's friends from our ward and got to do a little tour of Krispy Kreme Doughnuts!  It was super fun!
Here is Kimber watching the Doughnuts go by on the conveyor belt!
They got to dip and put sprinkles on their own doughnut at the end of the tour!

Of COURSE she didn't want her picture taken...so I snapped a few while she wasn't lookingand the others she is mad at me for taking her picture :)
If you know Holdyn, you know glazed doughnuts are one of her FAVORITE things!  When she heard about Kimber's experience she was devistated that she didn't get to go too!  After Kimber's graduation, she chose to go to Krispy Kreme's again so Holdyn could see the doughnuts being made too!  What a sweetie pie!  I guess the secret is out.....we will probably have to make a few more trips here in the next few months :)   (No Complaints here)

The FIRST Piano Recital

The girls started taking Piano Lessons a couple of months ago and are really doing great!  Denise Johnson, from our ward, teaches a few kids and we were lucky to grab 2 of her openings.
They LOVE her and they are loving learning on the piano.

They were both SO proud and excited after their performance!

Making some fishy memories in Albuquerque :)

We had a great afternoon at Tingley Beach ponds!  Ben got off about 3 one afternoon so we grabbed Holdyn after school and hit the fish ponds! It was GREAT!  The girls are quite good at casting with their poles!  We haven't been out FOR-EV-VER so it was a great change in the routine!

Here is the catch of the day!!  Reeled in by Holdyn!
On a Saturday morning, we hit the canal's.  Some people told us they stock the canal's around the Rio Grande with fish.  So we did some exploring.  We had a great time, but didn't catch anything.  We spent most of the time fishing in canal that apparently wasn't stocked with fish :)  Someone drove by and filled us in :)  We had fun casting and reeling anyway!  By the time we found the RIGHT place to fish the kids were about finished and ready to go home.

When Ben was on nights, he got home about 10 on a Saturday morning and said, "Let's GO!"
So we hurried and grabbed the gear and packed a picnic lunch.  I drove up to Fenton Lake while Ben slept.  Then we hopped out and did some fishing there.  It was kind of chilly up in the mountains.
The girls had a great time just running and getting dirty. When they were bored fishing they went and made a pine cone collection :)

Fenton lake is quite pretty, however, it was VERY crowded the day we went and so we hiked clear to the other side of the lake to try to fish.

We were all set up and having a great time when a mist of white started to come towards us.
We thought it might be a little sprinkle.....WRONG!  It was a windy, gusty, blizzard!  We packed up and RAN back around the lake to the truck!

We loaded up and drove a little ways back down the mountain and found a great spot for a picnic in the back of the truck!  One of our favorite past times!
Ben took the girls on a little hike and then we headed home.  Ben crashed again.  He is a superstar!  He tries so hard to make the few moments he has with me and the kids really fun!
He literally runs until he drops!
I'm so thankful for these fun moments and memories we are making as a family!
