Our first snow in Silver City

We couldn't wait to get outside to play in the snow!!
The kids were all in heaven!

 Selfie!

We all took turns sledding down our steep driveway...it worked perfectly!

The girls each went a zillion times! It was so funny to watch them.
It was the perfect few inches....by the next afternoon it was all melted and we are back in the 50's.
This is the perfect snow for us :)

Veteran's Day

We are so thankful for this Holiday and the chance we have to recognize the many men and women who serve our country.
I am also thankful that my kids go to an amazing school where they spent 2 hours doing a performance and honoring the veterans in our town.  It was very well done and I bawled each time one of the men and women were recognized.

Holdyn had a speaking part that talked about the POW's.
 THANK YOU VETERANS!

I also found some pictures of our dad's and Grandpa Carr in Uniform that I thought I would share.
This is my dad during some training.

Above is Ben's father when he Retired from being a Navy Chaplain.
Here is Grandpa Carr.

So thankful for the service of all of our Armed Forces and their families!

Grandma and Grumpa Baker's mission call!

Here we are waiting anxiously for Grandma and Grandpa to open their mission call!  You can see everyone on the video chat across the bottom :)  I have the video but it is having trouble uploading.
They were called to serve in the Rapid City, South Dakota Mission.  They will be working primarily at the Historic Site of Martin's Cove.  We are sure hoping we can make it up to visit them while they are there!!  Congrats and we are so happy for them to Serve!

Horse Crazy

We have truly been blessed with some AMAZING friends here in Silver City!
One in particular family that we have adopted as our own is the Rocko's.
Bonnie and her husband Mike both have amazing Rodeo skills (And buckles to prove it)
Bonnie is a Champion Barrel Racer and Mike team ropes with his son.
They have adopted our girls and have been teaching them all about horses.
The girls ask morning and night when they can go ride the horses with Sister Rocko.
Holdyn loves Big John while Kimber rides Seven up.
Bonnie is so very patient and teaches them so much.  They each jump on a horse and go around the arena.  Holdyn has even started trotting the barrel pattern.  She wants to be a racer like Bonnie :)

Kimber's confidence has shot through the roof!
Bonnie plays riding games and they just enjoy every minute in their horse heaven :)
 Cody loves the "hosses" too!

Meeting the Rocko's has been one of the many huge blessings that we have noticed since moving to Silver City!

Holdyn gets some spotlighting :)

So proud of this girl!  Holdyn won first place for her poster during Red Ribbon week in October.  I still haven't seen her poster, but she won this LeapsterGS for her prize!
Holdyn also had an entry in the Grant County State Fair.....she was so excited to find it with a blue ribbon when we were looking through the entries at the fair!  She also won the Kiwani's Clubs Terrific Kid award!  She is our super star!

We had a great Halloween this year!
The girls were counting down the days!

Cody couldn't get enough of the jack-0-lanterns.
Cody and I got to join the girls at school for their Halloween parties and their parade.
Cody had a blast at Holdyn's class party!
Then we ran over to Kimber's class!
Here they are in the parade!

Then we went to recess with them.

 Sure love these kiddo's!

Kimber and Kaitlyn at the trunk or treat!
Clara, Holdyn, and Christian had a blast trunk or treating.
Kimber and Brock :) I love her face!
The girls went to a Halloween party at a friend in the ward's, they got to paint pumpkins and play games....they had a blast!!!

Happy Halloween!!!
